Cross Country Recap 9/21/06


GRAND BLANC
Alexandria Dawson finished seventh overall in 20:41 to lead the Bobcats to first place at the 16-team Holly Invitational last Saturday.
Grand Blanc scored 55 points to win big over second place Troy Athens (90 pts.).
Behind Dawson, Megan Enzor was ninth overall (20:53), with Courtnay Hughes one second back in 10th place. Kandin Unger was 12th in 21:04, and E.D. Nsien rounded out the Bobcat runners at 21:19.
The boys’ team ended up 17th out of 19 teams in Division 1 with 383 points.

GOODRICH
The Martians scored 17 points to win over Lake Fenton (no team points) and Byron (36 points), Tuesday.
Kelsey Meyers finished first for the Martians with Sunny Mahalak behind. Chelsea Belanger was third and Katie Dymond finished fourth. Kayla Jung finished fifth.
Individual times were not available at press time. Kelsey Krych sat out the event because of a knee injury.
“She’s feeling better, but we didn’t want to chance it,” said coach Jenny Sweet.
