New scoreboard for Grand Blanc soccer teams
GRAND BLANC — Through many generous donations, Grand Blanc High School soccer players, parents and fans were treated to a new scoreboard for the district quarterfinal game against Holly May 31.
Contributors who provided at least a portion of the funds for the new scoreboard were, Grand Blanc Soccer Boosters, Mark Eneix, Ed and Brenda Gordon, Dick And Lee Hockstad, Mike, Trish, and Alyssa Wombwell, Ron and Vicki Castleman, and Steve and Janette Sullivant.
The scoreboard took hours of hard work and materials just to get installed in time for the district and regional playoffs. John and Jennifer Ward, Dennis Canaday and Grand Blanc coach Greg Kehler all pitched in with time and resources toward the project. Mark and Kim Dacieux donated the wiring material and installed it, while Doug Monty and Ted Wagoner from Hill Steel donated the beams, poles, crane and welding truck. — N.M.
