Grand Blanc freshman dominates at state meet[Nov. 8, 2007] IRISH HILLS — Gabrielle Anzalone has a bright future in front of her. Shattering cross country course records all year long, including a second all-time finish at Bicentennial Park, she also posted the fastest time at a regional event by a freshman. Anzalone launched herself into the spotlight again last Saturday after she placed fourth at the state tournament with a time of 17:46.6, the highest place a Grand Blanc girl has taken since University of Tennessee All-American Sharon Dickie took fifth place in 1997.

GRAND BLANC — By running the game in a quad match last Saturday, the Lady Bobcats golf squad ran off their 10th victory in a row this season to remain undefeated.
With a score of 183, Grand Blanc bettered their nearest competitor, Davison, by 15 strokes. Flushing came in next at an even 200 with the field being rounded out by Carman-Ainsworth, who kept on scoring like there was no tomorrow for 306.
