GRAND BLANC TWP. — A man arrested in connection with an armed robbery at Mike’s Tavern last month is now a wanted man.

Donte Dujuan Pastorino, 28, is a fugitive following an escape from police custody on Aug. 14. Pastorino, who was in police custody in the City of Flint on charges stemming from the armed robbery of a man at a bar in Grand Blanc Township just weeks ago, managed to get away, said Sgt. Rick Witham of the Grand Blanc Township Police Department.

Witham declined to elaborate as to how the man managed to escape.

Pastorino is wanted in connection with the armed robbery and also is a known parole absconder, Witham noted. Pastorino has a felony record, having served time in prison for armed robbery, Witham said.

Pastorino and another male robbed a man at gunpoint at Mike’s Tavern on July 23. The men ordered to victim into his vehicle and stole his wallet and a few additional items, investigators said. The pair later fled the scene.

An acquaintance of the victim was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and armed robbery a few days later, after admitting he did, in fact, set up the crime.

Pastorino is described as an African-American male in his late twenties. While his mug shot photo shows him without hair, he currently has hair, say police officials.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Grand Blanc Township Police Department at 810-424-2611.
