GRAND BLANC — Security Federal Credit Union recently announced plans to open a new office in Grand Blanc.
The office is the sixth location for the credit union and is set to open by the end of this year on Holly Rd. in the Trillium Circle. The new location will offer all the amenities of a full-service credit union, including drive-up tellers and ATM accessibility. Inside the office, a complete staff will assist members with all of their financial needs.
“We’re very excited about the opening of our Grand Blanc office and the opportunity to reach out to current and new members in the area,” said Security Federal President Terry Pierce.
The new branch will hire approximately 6 new employees for positions including teller, member service representative and office manager.
Currently the credit union has locations in Burton, Flint, Flint Township, Mt. Morris Township and Saginaw.
Security Federal also recently announced a merger with Lapeer County Community Credit Union.
The new credit union is called Security Credit Union and Pierce will remain the president and chief executive officer.
Security Credit Union, based in Flint, serves 60,000 members and will have 11 offices, including the new Grand Blanc location. — Anna Stodola
