GEA did not interview school board candidate
Goodrich School Board candidate Kenneth Rappuhn said he never received a letter from the teachers’ union, requesting he fill out a questionnaire and interview with union officials for the upcoming May 8 election.
An article in the April 26 Grand Blanc View said that the Goodrich Education Association interviewed three of the four candidates — Kristen Kenny, Linda Jackson and Timothy Zirnhelt — recommending Zirnhelt and Jackson.
Rappuhn said this week that he never received the request from the GEA and he was surprised to learn that the other candidates had been interviewed. Both sides conclude the correspondence was apparently lost, so Rappuhn never had the opportunity to meet with union officials.
