Group hosts reception, bicycling event

Transition meeting for incoming freshmen
GRAND BLANC — A meeting for parents of incoming freshmen planning to attend Grand Blanc High School for the fall academic semester of 2008 is 7 p.m. May 15 in the gymnasium of the high school’s West Campus, One Jewett Trail.
The meeting, “A Partnership for Success,” was created to assist parents and students with the leap from middle school to the high school level.
Topics for discussion include understanding the expectations of high school; supporting your child in his/her freshman year; and learning methods for getting various types of help.
