Goodrich girl donates hair to Locks of Love
GOODRICH — Kara Millerschin, 11, sixth-grader at Goodrich Middle School, decided it was time to chop off her hair after years of growing it long. Rather than tossing it in the wastebasket, Millerschin decided to put it to good use.
Millerschin donated 10 inches of hair to Locks of Love. She had her hair lopped off at the Incognito Salon in Metamora on Jan. 2. “I have been thinking about donating it for a long time,” said Millerschin. “It was time for a trim and I decided I needed more than a trim and could help others, too.” — K.S.
