Crim Neighborhood Running Club
GRAND BLANC — The Crim Neighborhood Running Club will host its first meeting 6:15 p.m. June 24 at Rust Park. The club is for children ages 5-17 and will meet 6:15-7:45 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday until Aug. 22. Reward for return of missing person
GRAND BLANC — Clare Bridge Grand Blanc is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the return of James Franklin. Franklin went missing from Clare Bridge Grand Blanc, a senior care community for those with Alzheimer’s and dementia, approximately two weeks ago. Since then, searches on foot, by vehicle and by helicopter have been conducted. Franklin is approximately 5’8” tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark jacket. He also may wear glasses. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of James Franklin should call 911 immediately or contact Grand Blanc Township Police at 810-424-2611. — A.S.

Goodrich Lions honors Top Ten
GOODRICH — The Goodrich Lions Club hosted a dinner honoring the top ten 2008 graduates of Goodrich High School May 22. During the reception, each senior was allowed to describe his or her activities and honors dating back to the past four years of high school, give an overview of upcoming educational plans and to introduce their parents. David St. Aubin, principal of Goodrich High School, served as Master of Ceremonies, telling the crowd that the incredibly high level of achievement among the class made it difficult to pick a “top ten.” St. Aubin also mentioned the many activities and non-academic achievements of the class, regaling the audience with tales of the kids’ time in high school. This year’s top ten seniors are Adam Bishop, Christine Fiedler, Mary Haiderer, Nathalie Iden, Brandi Kushuba, Sydney Mahalak, Lauren Warner, Julian Sula and Christina Sweet. — S.S.
Gallery Cruise looking for entries
FLINT — The Flint Institute of Arts is inviting area residents to submit photographs of their favorite car or truck for their Gallery Cruise exhibit. The exhibit, in honor of General Motors’ 100th anniversary, will be displayed July 12-20. Individuals may submit up to three unframed photographs. Submissions may be either an original photo or a digitally reproduced image on photo quality paper no larger than 8x10 inches. Submissions are due by July 11. If individuals would like their submission returned, they must label the back of the photo and include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Pig roast, clay shoot fundraiser June 22
GRAND BLANC TWP. — Citizens to Elect James Swenor are sponsoring a Pig Roast and Clay Shoot Fundraiser June 22 at the Grand Blanc Huntsman’s Club. Sporting clay shoot begins at 1 p.m. and costs $80 for two boxes of 12 gauge shells and a pig roast dinner. Those interested can also purchase tickets to the pig roast dinner for $20 a person.
