GENESEE COUNTY — Dancers from Academy de la Danse attended the National Dance Alliance dance camp at Hope College at the end of July. While there, dancers earned several awards, including best overall showmanship and a bid to the national championship.
Dancers included Jennifer Mayer of Davison, Gabby Green of Lapeer, Emily Mills of Davison, Lisa Kaffenberger of Goodrich, Olivia Halabicky of Davison, Kelsey Mulholland of Ortonville, Justice Cronenvhet of Davison and Sabree Bishop of Davison.
Kaffenberger, Mulholland and Halabicky were invited to join the All-American Dance Team. Kaffenberger also was named the best in turns and leaps for the entire camp of more than 120 dancers. — N.B.
