Driver cited
GRAND BLANC TWP. — A Burton man driving a 1997 Chevrolet sedan rear-ended a 2006 Buick Lucerne driven by a Grand Blanc woman while stopped on Fenton Road near Jefferson Avenue last Saturday.
Police cited the man for failing to stop in an assured clear distance. No injuries were reported.
Trailer slides
GRAND BLANC TWP. — An Oak Park man pulling a trailer behind his 2000 Ford Excursion on northbound I-75 near Holly Road lost control of his vehicle, hitting a guard rail and driving into a ditch Sunday.
The man told police that the trailer fishtailed while he was driving in the left lane, causing the vehicle to hit the guardrail, which then crossed through three lanes of traffic and into the ditch on the right side of the expressway. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.
Collision course
GRAND BLANC TWP. — A Grand Blanc woman driving a 2005 Chevy Equinox collided with a 2007 Saturn 2-door driven by a Metamora man at the Grand Blanc and Embury roads intersection last Thursday.
The Equinox pulled out into the intersection to turn left onto Grand Blanc Road from Embury Road, crossing the path of the Saturn. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.
Bike crashes
GRAND BLANC — A 69-year-old Davison man crashed his motorcycle while traveling northbound on Center Road near Walker last Sunday. The man told police that he could not navigate the sharp curve and drove into the guardrail, crashing his bike.
The man, traveling alone on the motorcycle, sustained back and leg injuries and was taken to Genesys Regional Medical Center for treatment.
