Drunk driving
GRAND BLANC TWP.
— A Flint man, who police said had been drinking, allegedly caused a three-car accident on northbound I-75 last Friday when his vehicle crossed into another lane, setting off the chain reaction.
The Flint man, traveling in the right lane near the Dort Highway area at about 70 mph, reportedly drove his 2004 Ford Explorer into the center lane, hitting a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer driven by a Swartz Creek woman. The woman’s vehicle then hit a 1997 Dodge Ram, driven by a Flint man.
The man reportedly had a blood alcohol content of .13. A BAC of .08 is considered legally drunk in Michigan. There were no injuries in the incident.
Police cited the man for driving while intoxicated.

Itchy foot
GRAND BLANC TWP
. — A Grand Blanc woman driving a 2002 Kia rear-ended a 1995 Chevrolet van, driven by a Byron man at the E. Hill Road and Ali Drive intersection last Friday.
The woman told police she was trying to scratch her foot when it came off the brake pedal. She was cited for failure to stop, causing an accident.
