Drunk driver cited
GRAND BLANC TWP. — A Davison woman was cited for operating a vehicle while intoxicated Jan. 26 after hitting another vehicle driven by a Grand Blanc woman.
The Grand Blanc woman was stopped on Center Road waiting to turn on to Brenthill Drive when the Davison woman struck the Grand Blanc woman’s vehicle on the passenger side in what a witness said appeared to be an attempt to pass.
The witness said the Davison woman’s vehicle was weaving from lane to lane before the accident. There were no reported injuries.
You’ve got mail
GRAND BLANC TWP. — A Grand Blanc Twp. man driving a 2002 Cadillac Eldorado pulled out in front of a Linden man driving a 2003 Pontiac Montana after apparently checking his mail Jan. 26.
The man reportedly pulled his Cadillac on to the shoulder of McCandlish Road facing the wrong way so he could check his mailbox. He then pulled out in an attempt to cross McCandlish and pull into his driveway, but pulled into the path of the eastbound Montana. There were no reported injuries and neither driver was cited in the incident.
Three injured
GRAND BLANC TWP. — A Fenton woman driving a 1997 Chevy van, attempting to turn left on to Dort Highway from Maple Road, collided with a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by a Davison woman. Both drivers and a passenger required medical attention.
The Fenton woman said a car in front of her obstructed her view of oncoming traffic when she attempted to turn. Both drivers said the traffic light was yellow when the accident occurred.
Ambulances arrived on the scene and provided medical attention to both drivers and a teenage male passenger in the van. A teenage girl in the van did not require medical attention.
Chain reaction
GRAND BLANC TWP. — A Flint woman driving a 2002 Chevy Tracker spun out and hit a guardrail on northbound I-75 Jan. 15, leading to a four-car pileup.
The Flint woman was traveling in the center lane when a vehicle lightly rear-ended her car, causing her Tracker to spin and hit the left-side guardrail. A Clarkston woman’s vehicle then hit the Tracker, with two more vehicles involved in the rear-ending chain reaction.
No one required medical attention and no citations were issued. The driver of the unknown vehicle that initially caused the accident did not stop.
