Native plant sale

Davenport University
to close four campuses
MICHIGAN
— Davenport University will close its smallest campuses in Bad Axe, Bay City, Lapeer and Romeo this fall.
The closure will affect approximately 700 students, and university officials hope the students will continue their studies at the Saginaw, Flint and Midland locations or online.
Davenport University specializes in business, technology and health professions and will operate 15 campuses in Michigan next fall. — N.B.

GRCC presents
business seminar

— The Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) presents a business seminar from 8:30-10:30 a.m. May 8 at Baker College, 1050 W. Bristol Rd.

Fundraiser for those in need

— The IMA Children’s Recreation Fund is hosting a chicken dinner at IMA Brookwood to raise money for those in need.

Mott hosts Jared Diamond

— As part of the Ballenger Eminent Persons Lecture Series, Jared Diamond, the author of Guns, Germs, and Steel will speak at Mott Community College at 7 p.m. on April 17.
