Stolen gun

— A Croftshire Drive resident called police at 5:30 p.m. April 1 to report a stolen rifle from the residence.
The homeowner told police the gun was being remodeled in the home and while no one was there, the gun was stolen. The rifle is estimated at $1,300. — N.B.

ID theft
GRAND BLANC
— A Bush Avenue resident, 56, called police at 3:45 p.m. April 2 to report a case of identify theft.
The victim told police that he returned home from a vacation in Florida and noticed someone had used his credit card while he was there. Several purchases were made in March, amounting to $1,300. — N.B.

sexual assault
GRAND BLANC
— Police were called to Grande Pointe Apartments at 6:47 a.m. April 5 after a neighbor reported a fight in a nearby apartment.
When police arrived, they found that a female resident, 40, had been assaulted by a male, 45, who also lived in the residence. The suspect also attempted to sexually assault the victim.
Police arrested the man and lodged him in the Genesee County Jail. A warrant was issued for assault and sexual assault. — N.B.
