GRAND BLANC TWP. — Walkers are needed for a 3K Walk and Fun/ Run benefiting the LUNGevity Foundation on Oct. 18 on the Genesys Health Park nature path.
Because lung cancer is the No. 1 cancer killer, all proceeds from the event will support research for the treatment and cure of lung cancer at several leading cancer centers in the country. Walk the Walk features musician Jack Hamilton, speakers, a kids’ walk, silent auction, prizes, an awareness/information table, giveaways, lung cancer bracelets, T-shirts and goodie bags for the first 500 registrants.
The LUNGevity Foundation, one of the nation’s leading private supporters of lung cancer research, and Walk the Walk recently received an endorsement from The Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports.
Registration for the event begins at 9 a.m. To register online, visit www.michiganlungcancerwalk.org or www.lungevity.org. Corporate and family sponsorships are available.
