‘Ties and Tails’ gala benefits 4-legged canine friends

BURTON — Calling all canines and canine lovers! The 5th Annual Ties and Tails Gala is on its way!

The annual event, held on the grounds of the Genesee County Humane Society Sept. 13, gives animal lovers the opportunity to bring their canines and dress them in formal attire (or not ).

The event begins at 6 p.m. with champagne and hors’ oeuvres, which will include doggie hors’ oeuvres provided by the Barking Babes Pet Boutique in Fenton. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. and is catered by Fandangle’s in Flushing. Music will be provided by MCC’s Steelheads.

Activities for this event include a shelter tour, complimentary photos of attendees and canines taken by Imaginique Studios and an obedience demonstration. Guests also will have an opportunity to bid on fine wine and liquors. A coffee and dessert reception will follow dinner.

Tickets are $100 per person and canine companions are complimentary. Canine companions are not required to attend. All proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Genesee County, 3325 S. Dort Hwy.
