McFarlen Library offers several activities for kids

GRAND BLANC — McFarlen Library, 515 Perry Rd., offers several activities for children in the next few weeks.

A therapy dog, Alex, is expected to be on hand for kids to help hone their reading skills in 15 sessions starting with July 16 at 6:30 p.m. at McFarlen Library. Children are encouraged to bring a book, make a new friend and read together. Registration suggested.

Super Science Saturday, a hands-on program designed to promote an appreciation of Leonardo Da Vinci’s inventions, is scheduled for 10 a.m. July 12. Registration is required.

Creepy Crawlie Crafts for kids is slated for 11 a.m. July 10. Kids will make crafts in conjunction with the library’s summer reading program theme, “Catch a Reading Bug.” Cost is free, registration is not required.
