FLINT — The Kearsley Park Players are back with their next offering, one of America’s favorite musical comedies, My Fair Lady.

Based upon George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion and with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, the story concerns Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl who takes speech lessons from Professor Henry Higgins so that she can pass as a lady.

My Fair Lady will be presented for one weekend only. Opening night is 8 p.m. Aug. 28, with addtional performances at 8 p.m. Aug. 29-30 and a matinee at 2 p.m. Aug. 31.

Performances are free at the Kearsley Park pavilion, 120 E. Fifth St. The public is welcome and reservations are not required.

The cast includes D.J. Trela as Professor Henry Higgins, Natalie Sevick as Eliza Doolittle, Don Hillaker as Colonel Pickering, Brian Haggard as Alfred Doolittle, Michael Kelly as Zoltan Kaparthy and many others. Sylvia Pittman is production musical director, Amber Dillard is choreographer, and Kay Kelly is director.
