Taste of Grand Blanc
GRAND BLANC — Taste of Grand Blanc comes to the Captain’s Club at Woodfield 5-8 p.m. July 31.
The event is billed as the largest networking party in Grand Blanc. Several sponsorship opportunities are available. The lowest level of sponsorship is table sponsorship for $500, and opportunities grow up to title sponsors at $4,000.

Scruffy Dog performances
FLINT — The local band Scruffy Dog is performing at several shows during July. The band is scheduled to play at Pajitas Amphitheatre in Swartz Creek, 8099 Civic Dr. The Swartz Creek show is from 7-9 p.m. July 8.
On July 11-12, the band will perform at Redwood Lodge from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. each night. The lodge is located at 5304 Gateway Boulevard in Flint.
Finally, on July 25-26, Scruffy Dog performs at the Big Eazy, 5311 Corunna Rd. in Flint. The shows will run from 9 p.m.- midnight each night.

Power Chord Academy
LOS ANGELES— Power Chord Academy is offering summer sessions for young musicians.
The program is open to ages 12-18. Students form a band with their peers, write songs with a producer, record a CD single, film a music video and perform concerts produced by a professional live sound team. The camp also includes visits from several signed music artists.

Arthur, King of Britain
FLINT — The Flint Youth Theatre presents Arthur, King of Britain July 18-Aug. 9.The play is based off of the novel, The Pendragon. Performances are suitable for ages ten and up.
