The Oakland County-based Parrot Heads, biking around Arcadia Township Saturday, were the top fundraising team for the second straight year in the Ride for Hope charity bike event, which began and ended at Attica Township Park. Team members included (from left) Ann Apking, Dawn Patton and Susan Otitz. The team raised more than $2,100 in the sixth annual bike/walk, which drew more than 80 bicyclists to Lapeer County. Five different routes ranged from 23 to 67 miles. The fundraiser raised close to $30,000 in its first visit to Lapeer County for Extreme Response, a global charity.
