ARCADIA TWP. — Arcadia Township Hall will open its doors this month to the public to meet a researcher who has completed An Images of America book on the Vernor family.

Keith Wunderlich’s book covers the history of the Vernor Ginger Ale Company, and that includes the Vernor family’s vacation retreat (Vernor estate) in rural Arcadia.

Wunderlich will give a special presentation and book signing on Sunday, July 20, from 2-5 p.m. Vernor floats and soda will be served.

Limited copies of the book will be available to purchase at the book signing, or it can be purchased at the Book Shelf in Lapeer.

Arcadia Township Clerk Sharna Smith provided some photographs for the book and is acknowledged by the author, a Southeastern Michigan resident who founded a club for Vernor collectors with history and memorabilia.

Details: Sharna Smith, 810-724-6565. — R.A.
