NORTH BRANCH — One caller’s neighbor received a call stating that they won a sweepstakes. The caller was concerned because his neighbor was told to bring $300 to pick up the prize June 20.
Great balls of fire
DRYDEN TWP. — On June 22, a caller saw a ball of fire in the sky, similar to a firework but too high in the sky. The caller took a picture of the phenomenon, but it moved behind a cloud before police could arrive.
Mail stalker
IMLAY TWP. — A woman complained of a man with a beard harassing her. He would tap on her windows and yell for her to come out, as well as circle the block in his truck waiting for her to get her mail in a repeated attempt to run her over.
Under-handed
GOODLAND TWP. — Someone trashed a caller’s house on June 25. Tampons, women’s underwear and tomatoes were used in the mess.
If you love it, let it go
DEERFIELD TWP. — A caller complained on June 25 at 4:17 p.m. that someone cut his pontoon boat loose from its moorings.
