Crim walk/run aids disaster victims
FLINT — The Crim will host a 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, June 28, at 8 a.m. on the streets of downtown Flint to benefit the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. All proceeds go directly to assist victims of recent floods and tornadoes across the nation. The name of the run is “Go with the Flow.” All participants will need to sign a standard release form. Golf for charity
LAPEER — Don’t forget the first-ever SANE/ SART Golf Tournament Saturday, June 28, at Rolling Hills Golf Club. Entry fee is $70 per person or $280 per team (four-person scramble.) Sign on for 18 holes, a meal, cart, skins.

Birthing program for future mothers
LAPEER — A Mother’s Touch Midwifery and Birth Center offers a free preview of HypnoBirthing for anyone who is pregnant or thinking about becoming pregnant. HypnoBirthing creates a strong bond between baby, mother and birth companion to give a peaceful and loving beginning, supporters say.
Through relaxation, breathing, and visualization, HB teaches the mother to release all prior programming about birth and how to trust her body and work with it. HB can be used in a hospital setting or a homebirth. The address is 1894 Millville Rd.

Fish Fry for families
OTTER LAKE — LakeVille Area Adopt-a-Family will host a Fish Fry Saturday, June 28 to raise funds to make Christmas a giving time for the needy.
Dinner is served starting at 4 p.m. at the Otter Lake Bar, 5845 Genesee St.
The charitable group was able to provided holiday cheer for 70 families last year and expect even more people in need this year. — R.A.
