LAPEER — Arby’s restaurant on M-24 is asking customers to support Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Lapeer County.
By donating a dollar and signing a “Help Us Help Kids” pin-up to hang on the restaurant wall, patrons can help transform young lives in Lapeer County. The campaign continues through June 30.
“This fundraiser is an important part of our agency’s funding,” said Susana Jackiewicz, executive director of Big Brothers, Big Sisters. “We are asking all members of the communities within our county to reach out and lend a hand to our children.”
The local agency has provided one-to-one youth mentoring services for more than 26 years. Children are teamed with safe, caring adult mentors to provide positive changes that can last a lifetime.
Greg Hawkins, senior vice president of community partnerships for Arby’s Restaurant Group Inc., said his company is proud to help the local service agency in its mission to serve children in need. — Joyce Bonesteel
