Golf Scramble helps homeless animals

ELBA TWP. — A first-ever Scrambles Golf Outing to benefit Paradise Pet Rescue Inc. is set for a shotgun start at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 18, at the Lapeer Country Club. The fee is $300 per team of four, or $80 per person.

This entry fee includes golf, cart, hot dog at the turn and a steak dinner after golf, plus prizes for closest to the pin and longest drive. Raffles and 50/50 drawings are part of the fun.

Businesses or individuals may sponsor a golf hole or cart at $50 per hole or $15 per golf cart. Details: call Clyde Allen at 810-793-8766 or clydea005a@aol.com. Entries must be in by July 10. — R.A.
