LAPEER — The Deming Art Studio’s Spring Studio Open House will be May 10 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
“As an artist I do not define my art with a single medium but rather work with ideas and visions,” said Linda Deming. Her art ranges from surrealistic drawings and wildlife paintings to stained glass and metal sculptures. “I am inspired by nature, as well as man’s industrial jungles.”
Often, the inspiration for a piece determines what techniques and materials Deming uses to complete it.
She had a successful engineering career before leaving the corporate world to pursue her artistic dreams.
“I truly enjoyed my engineering career and was privileged to work with many talented people from around the world,” she said. “But ever since childhood I always wanted to pursue a full-time art career.”
Deming Art Studio features the work of Linda and her husband, David. “We both design pieces, we both form and weld the metal, and we both do stained glass. It is David that really has helped me make this dream come true. I truly thank him,” said Linda Deming.
