LAPEER — The Acting-Up Company, a theater group, will return to the lawn of the Marguerite deAngeli Library in Lapeer on Tuesday, July 1 at 2 p.m. They will present Stop buggin’ me: I’m reading, an action-packed children’s play.
The library also will host the next meeting of the Lunch with the Munch Bunch series on Wednesday, July 2, on the lawn at noon. Families can bring lunch and a blanket to sit on. After the picnic, children are divided by age and read to by the library staff.
On Thursday, July 3, from 10 a.m.-noon, children are invited to the library for a make-it-and-take-it craft session. The craft takes approximately 15 or 20 minutes to complete.
The last day to sign up and successfully complete the summer reading programs is Saturday, July 5. All branches of the Lapeer District Library are closed for July 4 except the deAngeli branch, which will be open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and the Hadley branch which will be open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. — J.F.
