LAPEER — The Coffee Tree Café will host Opus III for a classical music performance on Saturday, April 5, at 6 p.m.
Also on April 5 the Cup of Joe/Lapeer Music Soundstage will host Bill and Bob, an acoustic rock duo, from 6-8 p.m.

Rock around the clock
LAPEER — Local Lapeer artists will perform at the Lapeer Entertainment Group’s first show of the year, Sock Hop Saturday Night. The Fairlanes and other local artists will play ’50s and ’60s rock and roll on Saturday, April 5, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Lapeer American Legion Hall. Tickets are $10, along with a cash bar and concessions. Proceeds benefit the Lapeer County Deputies Association Children’s Fund.

At last
FLINT — Etta James and The Roots Band will play the Whiting Auditorium on Friday, April 4, at 8 p.m. Tickets are available through the box office at 810-237-7333 or visit www.TheWhiting.com.

Kapers
LAPEER — Lapeer East Auditorium will be the new home for Kiwanis Kapers. The wackiness fills the stage April 9-12. Wednesday and Thursday performances are at 7 p.m. The curtain goes up at 8 p.m. for Friday and Saturday performances. Tickets are $8, and reserved seating is advised because there are 600 fewer seats available than previous years.

Beach Party at the
PIX Theatre
LAPEER — The PIX Theatre will host Parrots of the Carribbean, one of the hottest Jimmy Buffet tribute bands in the nation. Beer and margaritas will be served, and anyone wearing “proper attire” (flip-flops, tank tops and T-shirts) will receive a prize at the door. The party begins at 7:30 p.m. April 5.
