LAPEER — Lapeer Music and Cup of Joe Downtown will host Furlong River. They will play a variety of classic rock on Saturday from 6-8 p.m.
The Coffee Tree Café will host Jim Albert and Crew on Saturday starting at 6 p.m. The Coffee Tree Café also has open mic night every Friday.

Kapers
LAPEER — The Lapeer East Auditorium will be the new home for Kiwanis Kapers. This wacky variety show fundraiser runs through Saturday, April 12. Thursday performances are at 7 p.m. The curtain goes up at 8 p.m. for Friday and Saturday performances. Tickets are $8, and reserved seating is advised because there are 600 fewer seats available than previous years. — J.F.

Native American culture
OXFORD — Wayne Jackson, a member of the Tuscarora Tribe, will present “Native Americans and the Earth” at Kingsbury Country Day School in Oxford on Thursday, April 17, at 7 p.m. There is a facility tour and meet and greet with the teachers starting at 6 p.m. Details: 248-628-2571. — J.F.

Lapeer Celebrates the Arts will be June 7-8 in downtown Lapeer.
