History and ragtime
LAPEER — Make history by joining the 5th Annual Lapeer County Historical Society Concert at the PIX Theatre on Friday, Nov. 2. Open to the public, this is a fundraiser for the society, with proceeds to benefit building improvements and operations at the historical museum. FLINT — Solid Blues unites The Staple Sisters’ Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Mavis Staples and eight-time Grammy nominee Charlie Musselwhite, with the Grammy-nominated North Mississippi Allstars and Joe Krown, who has performed with many luminaries, for a one-day presentation at The Whiting.
