Two honored by
Conservation District
At its 65th annual meeting, the Lapeer Conservation District recognized two individuals with special honors.
Lon Kenny was named Volunteer of the Year. Kenny has been instrumental in transporting the district trailer and Earth Tunnel to various events in the county. He also has assisted with unloading trees for the district’s tree sales.
Abby Brusie, a fifth-grader at Ruth Fox Elementary School in North Branch, was honored for having her Poster Contest entry idea used on the district trailer. Her design idea was also used on a new T-shirt that is available to purchase at the district office. Bruisie was awarded a U.S. Savings Bond. — LA VIEW
