Vegas Nite at Legion
LAPEER — Doors open at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, at the American Legion Post #16 for the 6th annual Vegas Nite party, raffle and Texas Hold ’em.

IMLAY CITY — St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4th and Van Dyke, will host its annual church bazaar at the church from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4. 2nd coloring contest
IMLAY CITY — Pick up entry forms soon for the second annual Downtown Fall Coloring Contest hosted by the Imlay City Downtown Development Authority.

Grief support
LAPEER — The Visiting Nurse Services of Michigan hospice program provides an ongoing grief education and support group called New Tomorrows.

THUMB AREA — Unemployed Thumb-area residents who want to learn or update their computer skills can join the free open computer labs now operating in Bad Axe, Caro, Marlette or Lapeer.
Labs are open from noon-6 p.m. and computer instructors will be on-site to assist, one-on-one. Beginners, intermediate or advanced computer users are welcome.
Lapeer users can visit Mott Community College at 550 Lake Drive on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
