Build a Birdhouse
DRYDEN TWP. — Bring friends and family to Seven Ponds Nature Center at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 5, for a hands-on birdhouse event.

Tutoring made easy
LAPEER — A free “Tutoring Made Easy” workshop for parents and caregivers takes place on Saturday, April 5 from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
The workshop is offered by the Family Literacy Center at the deAngeli Library in Lapeer. It’s designed to teach more effective methods to help children with reading, including learning styles, phonetics, sight words, comprehension and more. Participants receive a resource book of strategies for teaching.

DRYDEN — St. Cornelius Altar Society will host an All-You-Can-Eat breakfast on Sunday April 6, from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

LAPEER — Registration is required by April 10 to participate in Lapeer County MSU Extension’s annual Household Hazardous Waste/Clean Sweep collection on Saturday, April 19.

LAPEER — A Mom-to-Mom sale takes place at St. Paul Lutheran Church, School, and Preschool on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Organizers remind the public that it’s time to clean out the closets, bins, and basement and turn the storage items into cash.
