March for Babies
at fundraising Walk
LAPEER — The March of Dimes Walk is Saturday, April 26 in Lapeer. The five-mile March for Babies begins and ends at at Rowden Park, across from the hospital on M-24.
Registration is at 8 a.m. The opening ceremony is at 8:45 a.m. and the walk begins at 9. Walkers can enjoy pre-walk snacks donated by the Lapeer Elks Lodge #2567 and a light lunch after the walk from Lapeer Kroger.
Funds raised will help babies be healthy and full term.

Masonic breakfast an All-You-Can-Eat feast
ATTICA TWP. — Attica/ Imlay Masonic Lodge members will host their popular All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 20 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
The menu includes pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, fruit salad and refreshments for a $4 donation. The breakfast is at the Masonic Temple on Lake Pleasant Road, one mile north of I-69, exit 163.

Texas Hold ‘Em
MAYVILLE — The Mayville American Legion is hosting a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament at the American Legion Hall in Mayville Friday, April 18.
The $50 entry fee covers all food and drinks and $1,000 in poker chips. Sign-in for this event begins at 6:15 p.m. and the tournament begins at 7 p.m.

United Methodist
to be rededicated
COLUMBIAVILLE — United Methodist Church in Columbiaville will have a rededication ceremony on Sunday, April 13.
The church underwent renovations that included new carpeting, antique-style wainscoting, embossed “tin” ceilings and more.
Much of the work was completed by church members working in their spare time.

Moms of Multiples host kids’ clothing sale
FENTON — The Mothers of Multiples of Greater Genesee County will host its annual Spring Clothing Sale from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at Fenton High School on Owen Road, east of US-23.

Bargain shop soon
LAPEER — The Sunday flea market is getting ready to close for the season at the end of April. Sales have taken place every Sunday since Oct. 1.
The flea market includes as many as 75 booths inside and outside with a variety of items at the Lapeer Center Building, 425 County Center St., from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

IMLAY CITY — St. Corneluis Church in Dryden will host a bake sale at the Pickle Barrel Market in Imlay City on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. All funds go to the St. Cornelius building fund.

benefit Literacy Center
LAPEER — The Family Literacy Center will host its 16th annual benefit dinner and auction on Friday, April 25. The Lapeer Country Club will house the event from 5:30 p.m. to approximately 11 p.m. The silent auction begins at 5:30 p.m., and the live auction begins at 6:30 p.m. The event is $45 per person or $325 for a table of eight.
Scholarship deadline
LAPEER COUNTY — The Lapeer County Community Foundation has multiple scholarships available for local high school students.
