LAPEER COUNTY — Three of the local Eastern Michigan Young Marines were honored last month with a bronze-level President’s Volunteer Service Award.
The three earned their honors for completing more than 50 hours of community service. Award winners are Lcpl. Zachary E. Bellairs, PFC. Justin P. Ferguson, and Lcpl. Brianna P. Murphy.
The chapter was also awarded the National Commendation Award in September. The award is the second highest service award in the Young Marines Program.
