Dance wins
Amber’s Dance Academy’s competition team won 27 gold, 18 high gold, 2 platinum and 21 overall medals at the Division 1 championship competition on March 29-30. Team members Courteney Deel, Cassie Ferrett, Emily Lowe, Brianna Mannion, Autumn Peacock, Jelena Rosenberg and Jillian Zygmontowicz were named all-star winners. Autumn Peacock also won the Broadway Bound New York scholarship. Bremen Samuel won the Most Entertaining Award and Chloe Lowe won the Tu-Tu Wonderful award. Samuel and Lowe also were named the Division 1 Champions for having the high score of the day. Emily Lowe won the Best Showmanship award for her solo performance.
Dean’s list
Jacob Baranski of Hadley made the Dean’s List at Cedarville University in Ohio, for the 2008 spring semester. Students on the list have earned 3.5 or higher grade point averages. Jacob, a senior, is majoring in mechanical engineering. His parents are Desiree and Ed Baranski.
